Directions: There are nine questions in this test. You'll need one Student Report Card for each one of questions 1, 2 and 3.
1) Your first student for March 2001 was Selma Standards at (718) 622-5868. Her family always paid you $50.00 per hour by check or money order. One and one-half hour lessons were scheduled for the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 9th, 14th, 18th, 22nd, 25th and 29th at 6:30 PM. On the 1st, you received check #321 for $75.00 to cover the 1st. On the 3rd, you received check #340 for $75.00 to cover the 3rd. On the 9th, you received a money order for $125.00 to cover the 6th and the 9th. On the 14th, you received check #373 for $150.00 to cover the 14th and 18th. On the 29th, you received check #399 for $200.00 to cover the 22nd, the 25th and the 29th. The parents cancelled the 6th and 25th without sufficient advance notice and you collected the cancellation fee for each one. You believed lessons would continue in April. 2) Your second student for March 2001 was Sheldon Syllabus at (718) 453-3865. Her family always paid you $40.00 per hour in cash. Two hour lessons were scheduled for the 2nd, 4th, 7th, 13th, 17th, 19th, 25th and 29th at 4:15 PM. The parents cancelled the 4th with sufficient advance notice, the 19th without sufficient advance and the 25nd without sufficient advance notice. You collected the cancellation fee for the 25th but were unable to do so for the 19th. You believed lessons would continue in April. Write up the March 2001 report card for Sheldon Syllabus.
3) Your third student for March 2001 was Luana Licensed at (212) 487-4387. Her family always paid you $45.00 per hour by Mastercard and cash. Two hour lessons were scheduled for the 2nd, 4th, 7th, 13th, 17th and 19th at 3:45 PM and none were cancelled. The lessons of the 2nd, 7th, 17th and 19th were paid by Mastercard and the 4th and 13th by cash. Luana's last lesson for the term was the 19th. Write up the March 2001 report card for Luana Licensed.
4) You deposited all cash you received for lessons during the first half of March into your checking account and issued check #2456 in its place. Using a Mid-Month Mailing Accounting Sheet, write up the March 2001 Mid-Month Accounting Sheet for Selma Standards, Sheldon Syllabus and Luana Licensed.
5) You deposited all cash you received for lessons during the second half of March into your checking account and issued check #2483 in its place. Using a End-Month Mailing Accounting Sheet, write up the March 2001 End-Month Accounting Sheet for Selma Standards, Sheldon Syllabus and Luana Licensed.
6) On April 5, 2001, we gave you a new student, Richard Rowland, who needed help with 5th grade math. His mother, Rosalie Rowland, agreed to pay $50 per hour for lessons. They lived at 254 Beverly Road (between E 2 St and E 3 St) in Apt 4K. You needed to make a first contact with Mrs. Rowland to set up a first appointment. Describe exactly how you went about doing this.
7) You and Mrs. Rowland set April 17, 2001 as the date of your first lesson with Richard. You showed up at 5:15 PM for the appointment. Describe exactly what happened during your first appointment with Richard.
8) At the end of your first appointment with Richard, you had a consultation with Mrs. Rowland. Describe how this consultation proceeded.
